Gov. Rick Snyder created an advisory commission today to help his office establish policies and programs aimed at ending the prescription drug and opioid abuse epidemic in Michigan — an epidemic has caused thousands of overdose deaths in recent years in the state.
The 17-member Michigan Prescription Drug and Opioid Abuse Commission will be tasked with looking at two dozen recommendations last year from a statewide task force led by Lt. Gov. Brian Calley.
