KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) The so-called Good Samaritan Act is now law in Michigan.
The law allows anyone to seek help for themselves or someone else for a drug overdose without fear of prosecution.
Nancy King, one of the co-founders of the Southwest Michigan Chapter of FAN (Families Against Narcotics) tells Newschannel 3 she lost her 21-year-old daughter, Marissa, to a heroin overdose in January of 2012.
