GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A Kalamazoo man will spend the rest of his life in prison for selling heroin that led to a Portage man's death.
Steven Craig Whyte, 29, was convicted Wednesday, March 28, by a federal jury of five crimes, including distribution of heroin resulting in death, conspiring to distribute heroin and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Whyte had been convicted previously drug distribution and faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
